1986 Strawberry Shortcake Comic Ad
Hiding inside the April, 1986, issue of Marvel’s Droids comic book is this full-page advertisement for the Strawberry Shortcake comic. Things get weird, though, when we stop and start looking closely at the various copyright notices throughout the comic. The book is dated April of 1986, this ad is dated 1984, and other advertisements in the book are dated 1985. I suspect the comic itself was in stores late in 1985, but unless someone out there has sales records it’s gonna be tough to nail down an exact date on this book. Help!
