Interstellar Action Figures at SDCC
At SDCC last week I spotted these Interstellar 8-Inch Retro Action Figures* at the NECA booth and had to snap a few pics. Unfortunately, the robots from the Interstellar film (Amazon.com search*) weren’t anywhere in the NECA display. Aw. Come on, NECA, and get busy creating TARS and CASE robot action figures for us to enjoy.
If you’ve not seen the film then you’re probably not clear on why those two robots need to exist as objects we can hold and play with. This Business Insider article gives a look at the robots, including how they were constructed for filming and is a must-read if you’re at all interested in moviemaking using practical effects and puppets.
