Join the Robotech Defense Force!
Last week I shared an ad from a 1985 Comico Robotech comic book. Well, that wasn’t the only advertisement in the comic and today it’s time for us to take a look at what we all could have grabbed for just $5 back in 1985. $5 to join the club? Awesome!
My favorite part of the ad? Well, it has to be how they include two forms on the page and structure the entire approach as if you’re doing a favor for a friend by giving them your extra form. We won’t talk about how you getting a friend to join improves the company’s position and makes the club a little more useful to their Robotech plans . . .

I wish they’d reprint those old Comico books. Just started filling in some of the holes in my Justice Machine collection.
