May 1987 Robotech RPG Advertisement

Last weekend’s Robotech RPG advertisement announcing the game’s fourth book soon had me digging back into the Dragon magazine archives (find at Amazon.com*) in search of more on the Palladium roleplaying game. Fortunately, Palladium went so heavy on the advertising in the eighties that I almost instantly ran across this earlier ad when there were only three books in the line. Can you imagine that, kids? There was a time when the game was so new that you could easily collect every title.

These days, you could collect all of the Robotech roleplaying game books (find at Amazon.com*), but it would require searching eBay and used bookstores and piecing together a collection of used titles. Fun, but not nearly as exciting as watching a game unfold new in stores with releases every few months.
