“Revell’s Insta-Win Video Game” Ad from 1982
Revell models in 1982, as this old comic ad shows us, offered a chance at winning an Atari arcade game, and not just a cartridge! The company was giving away three full-size arcade cabinets and entering was as easy as buying a Revell model kit and scratching off “three circles of the enclosed game card.” Unfortunately, even if you happen to find one of these marked kits today, the contest is long over.
