You are Somsoc, a self-aware Gendrone assigned to the Shadowmount System, a fringeworld star system far from the central focus and activity of Glyaxia Command. As a heavily-adapted and reconstructed Gobon model Gendrone you are loyal to the cause, but lately you’ve found yourself questioning Command’s reasoning for stationing a single unit in an area controlled by the evil Grimwave.
It has been seventy cycles since you last reported into Command; nothing of importance has happened since your last report and you are far from prone to reporting trivial data. But something has happened, just within the last seven point nine fracta-cycles, and you must now report. But what has happened? All you know is that an odd signal burst from the third planet of the Shadowmount System awoke your scanners.
If you immediately notify Glyaxia Command of the strange signal proceed to section 42.
If you choose to investigate the signal before contacting Command proceed to section 21.
