Spotted Online – 1972 Big Jim Catalog at Plaid Stallions

Joe in the early seventies, Big Jim avoided parental complaints about war by instead focusing on sports. Yes, sports. Outfits for baseball, soccer, and football are only a few of the different sets Mattel offered kids. Kinda weird.

The line did evolve over the years, but as this 1972 Big Jim catalog shows, in the early seventies Mattel stuck to the inoffensive things like sports and avoided war and conflict in their Big Jim series.
