1962 Milton Bradley Advertisement Includes Stratego Game!

It’s not secret that I’m a fan of the Stratego boardgame (Amazon.com search*), and today I’d like to point out just how sad it is that advertisements aren’t as friendly as they were decades ago.

Need proof? Consider this 1962 magazine ad for Milton Bradley games . . . including Stratego! Stratego may no longer be in the Milton Bradley catalog — and these days it isn’t even a company on its own — but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t look back to ads like this and take a stab at some newer promotions that build off the nostalgic value of their history. Imagine new ads in popular magazines today that play off of this design. That would be great!
