1973 Ad for Gabriel’s Lone Ranger at Children’s Palace
Gabriel’s Lone Ranger action figure line of the seventies (see this post) doesn’t get nearly as much attention these days as it should. The line is a great example of how action figure lines were handled in the seventies, and other than G.I. Joe and Other Backyard Heroes* there’s just not much in the way of printed documentation for the line.
Fortunately, the Google newspaper archives have a few treats, including this 1973 newspaper ad showing the Lone Ranger and Tonto sets on sale. Yes, please. I’ll take these at this price.
