1974 Lone Ranger Adventure Sets Newspaper Advertisement
After yesterday’s 1973 ad for the G.I. Joe Adventure Team I had action figure outfit sets on the brain. Add to that some time spent thinking about G.I. Joe and Other Backyard Heroes* and it shouldn’t be a shock at all that I set out in search of old newspaper ads for Gabriel’s Lone Ranger action figures.
I got especially lucky finding this December 9, 1974, ad from TG&Y because it’s not only an ad for the Lone Ranger toys. Nope. The ad is specifically for the Adventure Sets and even shows a grainy photo of “The Hidden Rattler Adventure” set. What a great find!
