1975: Yule Shoppers and the Six Million Dollar Man
The November 29, 1975 issue of The Beaver Times surfaced recently because I shouldn’t be allowed near the Google newspaper archives. A recent search for Kenner’s Six Million Dollar Man action figures resulted in encountering an article all about the start of the holiday shopping season and a report that:
An Ohio woman, while quickly flicking through a rack of ladies’ dresses at Penny’s in the Northern Lights Shopping Center, said she thought prices here were lower than those in Cleveland.
A former Rochester resident, while trying to decide whether to buy a “Bionic Man” or a “Kenner Tree House” for his son at an area toy store, agreed.
It’s so very awesome to uncover these snapshots from the past.
