1977 Star Wars Official Poster Monthly Subscription Ad

Yesterday’s 1978 advertisement from the Star Wars Official Poster Monthly was more about the Kenner action figures than anything else. Not a shock; those Kenner Star Wars action figures and vehicles were the hottest toys of 1978 and everyone out there was selling the toys.

Today’s ad comes from 1977 and offers a subscription to the Star Wars Official Poster Monthly for only ten bucks . . . which was actually quite a bit of cash in 1977. Adjusting for inflation, that $10 in 1977 is almost the equal of $40 today. Damn, that’s a lot of cash to spend on a poster subscription! Especially if you stop and ask: Where am I going to put all of these posters?
