1978 “Kiddie City” and Micronauts
Just how is it that we live in a world where there’s no book dedicated to Mego’s Micronauts toys of the seventies? I’ve got books like Mego Action Figures Toys* and G.I. Joe and Other Backyard Heroes* that include sections on the Micronauts, but there’s no history/guide to the line on my shelf. That feels like an oversight and should be corrected.
And part of such a book would need to be whatever articles and advertisements that can be found. For example, take this full-page ad from the November 1, 1978 issue of The Toledo Blade. This ad for “Kiddie City” looks great, and anyone out there who tackles a book about Micronauts should definitely include this in the effort. Please.
