1978 Mattel Values Featuring Shogun Warriors and Godzilla
This October 1978 issue of The Evening News newspaper includes a full page toy advertisement of Mattel “values,” several different toys on sale in an attempt to convince kids and parents to buy cool toys. There are a few Barbie toys in the ad, but the best parts have to be the Shogun Warriors and Godzilla giant toys. I am certain everyone reading this today would happily pay $12/each for one of these jumbo toys.
