1978 Risk Newspaper Advertisement

It’s my opinion that the Risk game (Amazon.com search*) is treated unfairly by a segment of the tabletop gaming community these days. Many people unfairly classify the game as a poor design, but the last fifteen years or so have proven to me that Risk is expandable, mutable, and still fun.

All of that’s a dumb way to say: Look, kids! A December 17, 1978 newspaper with a great little ad block for Risk! It’s still a fun game, people, and the various Risk games that descended from this edition of the game deserve better treatment than they get from today’s game fans.
