1981 “20% Off Toy Sale” at Kroger

This 1981 Kroger newspaper advertisement is a snapshot of retail offerings for Christmas of 1981, with everything from a solar-powered calculator to after shave listed on sale. Lots of awesome stuff, but what leapt out and most demanded my attention was the toy sale, which includes the Kenner Tauntaun, a Dukes of Hazzard game, and even the Rubik’s Cube.
