1981 Kenner Pre-Toy Fair Catalog and Star Wars Carrying Cases

I’ve been home alone for the weekend and my energy has gone to snapping photos and working on a book about action figure carrying cases. Vinyl, hard plastic, wearable, vehicles, playsets, and more have landed in front of me over the last few days, and as I work I scrounge through the catalogs and marketing materials I’ve collected for any info at all on carrying cases.

Not surprisingly, the majority of what I have in terms of paperwork is from Kenner’s Star Wars collection, and that includes this full-page from the 1981 Pre-Toy Fair catalog. The shot of the hard plastic tray serving as an action figure display stand is wonderful!
