1982 Newspaper Ad for Kenner’s Strawberry Shortcake

December 15, 1982. Kenner’s Strawberry Shortcake toyline was a top seller for Christmas in the early eighties, and in this newspaper ad we see the line’s Berry Cycle, Big Berry Trolley, and the outfit sets all on sale. I am still amazed at how many action figure collectors overlook this line and its importance to the development of toys as franchises and brands, and one of these days I will complete a book all about Kenner’s early eighties Strawberry Shortcake toys.
