1982 Newspaper Ad for Tomy Wind-Up Games
With names like Funny Football, Goof-Around Golf, and Homerun Homer, Tomy’s wind-up game/toys of the late seventies and early eighties are every bit as silly as you would expect. This 1982 newspaper ad shows off just a few of the toys in the line, and each time I run across these old games I find myself wondering just how well they sold and whether or not it would be worth buying one or two of them today.

I owned the “Funny Football” as a kid. I think there was a Bowling one too. Make me think of the old water filled games like ring toss with a dolphin and rings, or even the Tomy pastic hand games with the little metal “b.b.’s”…
