1982 Savings on Star Wars Action Figures and Toys
July 21, 1982. Children getting their hands on the Spokesman-Review newspaper of the day encounter this Fred Meyer advertisement for Kenner’s Star Wars action figures and toys and, if those kids were anything like me on that day, they started scraping up even more change in an attempt to buy Star Wars toys. I can remember how excited I was every time I encountered ads like this one, and what’s sad is that even today these newspaper ads make me smile.
Maybe I’m just weird.
