1982 Sears Newspaper Advertisement Featuring G.I. Joe Action Figures
This 1982 newspaper ad for Hasbro’s G.I. Joe action figure series (Amazon.com search*) shows off single figures, the MOBAT (see yojoe.com), and the carrying case should make all of the G.I. Joe fans in the audience smile.
This isn’t quite as cool as the original pack-in catalog, but it’s still fun to find ads like this one. I’m now wondering where the line art came from; did Hasbro provide retailers with the art to use in advertisements?
