I shared an old advertisement for the Triple Flips game last year (posted here). Awesome concept, and seeing those old toy and game ads always makes my day a little brighter. And yours, I hope, because today I’m posting this two-page spread from the 1982 Takara catalog where you can learn more about the old games.
I managed to grab both the 1981 and 1982 Takara catalogs, so expect to see more classic fun as I get time to scan and post the best pages out of each.
WOW, that takes me back! I vaguely recall these existed (I remember our school had more of the Game & Watch style games). These could should totally make a comeback!
Woah, I had one of these too! I think I had the one with the shark game. I loved this thing, took it with me in the car all the time. If I recall, they were magnetic too so the little tokens stayed put.
Simple idea put to good use. And I honestly think I still have the teeny tiny die somewhere. It has a bit red dot for the “1” side, if I’m not mistaken.
