1983 Lost Worlds Adventure Game Advertisement

I shared an ad for the Bounty Hunter game a few months ago where I mentioned the old Ace of Aces* and Lost Worlds* gamebooks. Surprisingly, despite how many years this site has been online, I’ve not directed your attention to any of the Lost Worlds games. How is that? I must be slacking.

This 1983 ad from Dragon magazine comes from early in the Lost Worlds* run, just as the series was launching in 1983. These books were pretty damn clever and I’m surprised we’re not seeing these adapted to apps for mobile play. Just imagine how fun it would be to play Lost Worlds over the phone.
