1984 G.I. Joe H.I.S.S. and Coleco ARPV Advertisement

The Point Dread newspaper ad I shared over the weekend also included G.I. Joe toys, and since I am currently in New York researching G.I. Joe for my new book, it felt appropriate to capture and share this ad block for the H.I.S.S. and Coleco’s G.I. Joe Armored Recon Patrol Vehicle riding toy (see yojoe.com). I love that G.I. Joe was such a big brand that competing toymakers paid Hasbro for a license to make G.I. Joe-branded toys.
