I know that I’ve never been the biggest supporter of GoBots toys (find at Amazon.com*), but I think you’ll agree when I say that I’ve grown more interested in the line every year. After all, there was a time when I would have poked fun at this 1984 GoBots Command Center toy commercial. Now I simply point and say “nifty!”

I now recognize that some of the GoBots were better than others, and after picking up this exact playset a few years ago I . . . well, I’m torn. It’s pretty ugly, yes, but there’s a strange charm to the toy that makes it a fun display piece.
