1984 Kenner Star Wars B-Wing Commercial

One of the cooler ships of the classic Star Wars trilogy, this 1984 commercial for the B-Wing is another masterpiece of its time. The commercial — as you can see — shows off the s-foils, gyro cockpit, and weapons, all of which just help make a great starship design into a fantastic toy.

Kenner/Hasbro has used the original tooling for this ship multiple times — recently for the Vintage Collection B-Wing* — so while an original may be too pricey there’s no shortage of re-release options out there. I’ve personally got the Dagger Squadron B-Wing* version sealed and waiting for time and space to properly have fun with it. One day, maybe, I’ll schedule a week off to just stay home alone and have some fun.
