1985 Pineapple Kids Club “Glow-in-the-Dark” Poster Offer
I can remember being a kid and thinking that this offer for Glow-in-the-Dark posters from Pineapple Kids Club looked radical. And as much fun as I thought those posters would be, that offer for free glow-in-the-dark shoelaces also tempted me mightily . . . so why did I never drop the (total of) $4 to get these posters and the shoelaces? I have no idea, but I really hope that other kids during the eighties ordered these. I’d hate to think that this awesome offer never paid off for the manufacturer.
Man, not sure where it came from, but I remember having the middle one with the ship in it.
Man, I remember that ad! I never got the posters, but I definitely had those glowing shoelaces. I was always decking my sneakers out in crazy laces.
Wow! Those are great! I mean, futuristic stuff, robots, and dragons! LOVE IT!
I’d love to see a book collecting all of the comic book ads of the eighties. Probably impossible for anyone to create, but I would totally buy such a book.
