1985 Transformers Insecticons Newspaper Ad

December 5, 1985. Strangely enough, this newspaper ad for the Insecticons gets Shrapnels name wrong and gets frighteningly close to one of the names Hasbro used for the toy years after this ad was first published. “Scrapnel” is incorrect, newspaper advertisers, but in 2014, Hasbro used the name Skrapnel* for the same basic character design.

So: Does this mean the ad from 1985 was created by a time traveler? Probably.
