1987 Robocop Review in Orange Coast Magazine
We’ve looked at three older reviews of the original Robocop movie (Amazon.com search*) over the past week, and now it’s time for another review from when the film was new . . . but this time it’s from a reviewer who really didn’t enjoy the movie.
Critic Marc Weinberg, in the July 1987 issue of Orange Coast Magazine, makes it quite clear he doesn’t like Robocop by including the film in an article titled “Failing Film Makers.” Of Robocop Weinberg writes:
“It’s hard to say to whom this picture will ultimately appeal. On the one hand, it’s too silly and one dimensional for adults, but kids are going to have problems with it because the film is just too darn violent. On the screen, the Robocop may always get his man, but here he misfires.”
