1988: Games Workshop’s Dark Future

As awesome as Car Wars was back in the eighties it was no surprise when more car combat games hit the market. One of the most attractive and loaded of the many competitors was Games Workshop’s Dark Future (Amazon.com search*), a box of plastic miniatures (with interchangeable weapons), boards, and rules.

This ad comes from the September, 1988 issue of Dragon magazine and I’m happy to report that I own both Dark Future and the White Line Fever* supplement. One of these days, I should track down the magazines that included articles for the game. Not today. Today I’ve got way too much work to do to spend it poking through online stores and eBay.
