1989 “Gotham by Gaslight” Ad
Over a quarter-century after it was first published, DC’s Batman: Gotham by Gaslight* graphic novel remains one of the best Elseworlds books ever published. The story — pitting Jack the Ripper against a Victorian-era Batman in Gotham — is great fun, and Mignola’s beautiful artwork is as amazing today as it was when I first read this book many years ago.
