1996 Star Wars Action Fleet Commercial

While not identical to Kenner’s 1982 Star Wars Micro Collection toys, the Galoob Micro Machines Action Fleet series of the nineties (Amazon.com search*) certainly makes me think of that earlier line. This 1996 commercial kinda has me wanting to track down some of these older toys; the TIE Advanced would certainly be a fun piece to race around the home. No. Must resist!

  1. Used to have the Death Star playset. Still have most of the characters lying around somewhere at home. But the real fun for me was in the vehicles — over here (and probably in the States too) they were sold in three-packs. Still remember flying them round with a mate in his bedroom, so much fun.

More recently I found out that there were Alien and Predator Micro Machines — would love to track down some of them!

  2. I have a ton of these including the Hoth and Death Star playsets. These were some awesome toys and I’ve always loved them! I wish I’d bought more of them back in the day as there are some very cool ones I’ve never owned. Always wanted the Sandcrawler but never picked it up…
