1998 Star Wars Dark Trooper Action Figure
One of the very first reviews I ever posted here at battlegrip.com was of the Kenner 1998 Star Wars Dark Trooper* action figure. Part of the Expanded Universe series, the toy’s far better than the photos and review that I posted online on January 9, 2009 (review here) . . . but if I was still happy with that review then I wouldn’t be me.
I seem to be missing the cardboard display piece these days, but the action figure was exactly where I expected to find it so I snapped a new photo in the hopes of getting some better quality shots of the toy onto the web. And in my digging into the Dark Trooper I found that it has actually seen little use in the Star Wars universe. The most recent use I’ve found was in Fantasy Flight Games’ Star Wars Age of Rebellion* where the design is just one of a number of detailed Stormtroopers. Good to know that Dark Troopers are still getting some play today.
