“$4 off Kenner Star Wars Figures”

December 12, 1982. Flip to page 5 in this issue of the Reading Eagle newspaper and find one of the most confusing ads for Kenner’s Star Wars action figures that we have seen yet. How can toys that cost under $3/each be $4 off, world? Tell me how this works! And what is with that $6.99 price tag? I think this ad would have forced me to go to the store when I was a kid and say: “Are the figures free?”
