$5 Off Biotron in 1979

I reviewed the unofficial Biotron toy last year (review here) and was completely blown away by how incredible it turned out. Perfect Effect did a great job with the design, and now I am left hoping that they’ll produce more unofficial Micronauts toys.

For now, though, what we have instead is a peek at the past. This 1979 newspaper ad for Kiddie City offers up the Micronauts Biotron toy for only $8.97 . . . why can’t I find a MIB version of the toy on eBay for this price today? Stupid decades separating me from the good prices.
