Transformers Encore Cassettes at TFSource
The latest newsletter from TFSource reports that Transformers Encore #19 has been released in Japan and they’re expecting their shipment this week.
“A popular set of four cassettes is included in this next big mission set! Everyone’s favorite red and blue dynamic duo Frenzy & Rumble make an appearance, as does their sly partner Laserbeak, and last but not least is Overkill which has never been reissued before. A great set, complete in Encore Series Collectible Packaging.”
I’ve got all of these except for Overkill — I need to get him — and I’ve already reviewed Frenzy (review here), but my cassettes are knock-offs and these are official re-issues. $50 is a lot for four cassettes, but it’s less than grabbing the originals.
I want! But I’ve already got Lazerbeak from the Commemorative Hasbro Soundwave, and I’ve got a G1 Overkill, not to say that having a new one would be over kill, but I don’t know if I want to pay $25 each basically for Frenzy and Rumble… or is it Rumble and Frenzy? 😉
I keep hoping I’ll find a bootleg Overkill and Slugfest. A few weeks ago Justin (our production manager) brought in his Squawk Talk and Beat Box and I spent a couple of minutes playing with those. That was the first time I’d ever actually held the pair and played with them; I’m not so sure if those two are must-own cassettes, but I suspect they’ll get into an Encore pack soon enough.
