Spotted Online – World War Robot Collides With Star Wars

Jump on over to toybot studios for this fantastic custom mash-up. Melding a Medicom Vinyl TIE Fighter Pilot* with an Ashley Wood WWRp Bramble (review here), this custom comes together to create something new, unexpected, and wonderful.

You know, it takes some serious skill and confidence to chop into two high-end toys in order to create one custom design. I’ve done a few small custom jobs, but I’ve yet to sink $100 in toys into a single project. I’m constantly impressed by the customs I spot online, and this one takes two of my favorite design styles and blends them together seamlessly. There are more pics at toybot studios.

  1. Hmm, this is just a guess, but though when i look on the photos of the Tie pilot VCD that it seems all the parts that went on the Bramble were easy to just pop off and then just sticked on the robot (since the WWR joints are easy pop off ball socket joints). I could be wrong, i would love to try it my own if i would have both toys! haha! Oh man, and how dearly i would love to have them…

  2. @Ralph – I’ve never seen any of the VCD up close so I don’t know how tough it would be to put this together. I love the resulting design.
