Matt Doughty’s Zoneye Custom Toy

So the last few times I’ve chatted with Matt Doughty (Onell Design) he has mentioned the custom toy for Mark Nagata’s Kaiju Comrades show. The conversation usually ended up with us agreeing that Matt’s insane — he does exactly what I do with projects and makes things far more complex than they need to be — and me wishing Matt luck in finishing his monstrosity in time.

Well, as you can see by these pics, Matt finished the toy. And this Zoneye turned out every bit as cool as the Hermit custom. It’s too bad that no molds were made of this toy, because I would love to get my hands on a resin copy of this monster. It’s going to be a lot of fun later this month when I get to visit Matt’s shop and waste hours building, casting, and painting toys.
