Batman Black and White Man-Bat Statue at Entertainment Earth
One of the absolute best parts about the Batman mythos is how the stories range from dirty crime dramas to high-tech capers to mystical encounters to terrible mad science. As long as it doesn’t involved Batman in space I’m usually happy. And when it comes to villains, up there with Clayface and Mister Freeze — at least for me — has to be the Man-Bat, which makes this Man-Bat Statue* a piece that I would add to my collection if money wasn’t an issue. Unfortunately, $75 for a 5.5-inch tall statue feels a tad steep to me. But then pretty much every statue I have ever bought has been at less than retail price so I’m likely not the best judge of what is and is not a good deal for a statue.
“Reminiscent of the classic Detective Comics #400 cover, Kirk Langstrom is in full transformation as the villainous Man-Bat! This extraordinary statue measures about 5 1/2-inches tall x 7 1/4-inches wide x 4 3/4-inches long, is painted in monochromatic tones, features a Bat-logo-shaped base, and is packaged in a black-and-white box. The limited edition was designed by Neal Adams and sculpted by Jason “Spyda” Adams. It’s a key piece in any Batman Black and White collection!”
