Hold Down that Transformer and Rub Him!

Damn, I never thought the Autobots were so mean as to grab another Transformer and rub him, but this commercial from 1985 proves that they’ll rub just about anything they want. It’s great that the old commercials used the animated show’s voice actors, but not once did I see a Transformers episode where the characters went around and checked rubsigns. There was that older Dreamwave comic with the rubsigns, though.

The only thing that would have made this commercial more fun would be if after rubbing the intruder they had spotted a completely unexpected symbol. “Hey, why’s this guy got a fire symbol where his Decepticon symbol used to be?”
