Spotted Online – War for Cybertron Optimus Prime
I actually spotted a War for Cybertron Optimus Prime over the weekend; Target had a massive stock of the new Transformers Generations toys* but I decided to wait; I’ve got Thrust and the Seacons set coming in soon (mentioned here) so any new Transformers will need to wait a few weeks.
Well, I may not have the figure yet, but we can enjoy another review of it . . . this time a photo review at NelMan. These are some of the best pics I’ve seen online of Prime’s vehicle mode. I’ve gotta admit that part of what made me decide to wait on Prime is hearing that he’s difficult to transform. I guess I’m a little chicken; do I really want a Transformers toy that’s gonna make me look stupid?

JUST GET THE DARNED THING!!! It is honestly one of my favorite Optimus Prime toys I own (if not THE most favorite… it’s really up there, man). Is it difficult to transform? Heck yes it is! Should that stop you from getting it? NO!
I sat there in the parking lot of Toys R Us after I had just bought the figure with Eatmoretoys, Krakit, and Fintal watching me bumble and stumble around trying to transform it. Fintal already had his for a while, so he was pretty familiar with the transformation. My hands were as rubbery and useless as a freshman at a kegger. But I stuck in there and transformed the darn thing, and it has been nothing but fun ever since. Part of what makes him so much fun is how blasted hard he is to transform. Other Transformers you flip, turn, flip, twist, done… this sucker is INSANE– but in a good way.
Trust me, dude… just get the darn thing before it’s gone. Don’t make Fintal and me come out to Texas and force you, man, cause we totally will. 😉
