Who Needs a Lunch Box?
Another batch of photos from yesterday’s antique store crawl. Those two Masters of the Universe lunch boxes were rusted up, but at $5/each I’m sure they’ll sell one of these days.
And that “Around the World in Eighty Days” book was tempting; I had that one and several more in the series when I was a kid. But $10 was more than I was willing to pay for a tiny book that would be looked at once and then tossed on a shelf.
I hope you guys are enjoying the photos from antique stores. Anyone spot a toy in one of these pics that you would have grabbed if you had been there?
Nice post! My Grandpa used to buy those Illustrated Classics books for me, I had those two, plus a ton more, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Moby Dick, Treasure Island, etc. I loved reading those and then the next time I saw him we’d talk about the book.
@PrfktTear – I’ll have to search eBay for those books. At a few bucks each I would buy some, but $10 was just too much.
I got almost the complete set of those Moby Illustrated Classics on ebay for something like $60. $10 for a single is outrageous. I had them all as a young’un, and it wasnt hard to replace them in my waning years
