A Bootleg Seeker After Leg Surgery
Three more bootleg Transformers “Seekers” arrived yesterday and last night I popped one open to get a look at it. Much higher quality than the last bootleg we looked at (review here), but the hands are wrong and the legs were assembled backwards.
Actually, just the thigh portion of the legs was backwards. And popping them off at the ball-jointed hips didn’t fix the problem because then the tailwings were on the inside of the legs.
So I grabbed a tiny screwdriver and proceeded to take the legs apart, swap the thigh pieces, and then reassemble the toy. Success! This pink “Seeker” now has correctly assembled legs.
Anyone interested in a review of these bootleg “Seekers?” They’re a different brand from the last one we looked at and they’re actually not bad (once you fix the legs).
I want to see a full review. I’ve had these guys ready to buy at least three times, but always hold back at the last second.
I wouldn’t mind a review, they look far superior to the first.
This gut looks a lot better than the last one. Does he have a generic name like the last one and his 2 friends on the back of the card?
@Jason – No name with this one. I also have another from this same line and planned to review the two at once (same toy/manufacturer, just different colors).
