Spotted Online – Andrew Wilson Interview

There’s an interview with artist Andrew Wilson (website, blog) at the ToysREvil site. Head on over for information on Wilson’s new 6-inch resin toy. It looks kinda neat.

I find it very cool that resin is taking off, but using the word “toy” to describe a lot of these resin pieces just feels wrong to me. You should play with toys, which goes against the resin wargame pieces I’ve handled (too fragile for much play). I’m torn, because resin is something any artist can do at home while — as I said — creating pieces that you can’t play with makes them very untoylike in my mind.
