A Word of Thanks from 3A/Ashley Wood
Ashley Wood, creator of the World War Robot* series, has posted a letter to fans in which he mentions the shipping issues and 3A’s goal of producing quality toys that will be remembered for many years to come. It’s nice to see an acknowledgment that there are delays, and it’s wonderful to see the fans thanked, but I would have also liked to have seen a commitment to e-mail customers regular updates about the various toys that are still waiting to be shipped.
Firstly, thank you to all our supporters, the Legion, the bloggers, the casual nod’s in our direction, its all profoundly appreciated and never taken lightly. Both Kim and I feel damn lucky to be able to bring you the world of 3A everyday, and we are constantly looking at ways to make things better, from the actual toys to shipping on time . We do not live in a dreamworld, we listen to all concerns and words of advise , we want nothing more than to deliver great toys, toys that you will remember many years from now, thats our aim, not collectibles, not trendy shit, but toys that are just plain fun and have some substance and love behind them.
The 2011 membership goes up on January 15th (mentioned here), so I have about one more week to decide on whether or not I’ll renew my membership. At the moment I’m not sure what I’ll do, but I suspect I’ll be weak and renew my membership; I’d hate to miss out on some cool robot toys in 2011. I just hope we see the Ankou soon since next week we’ll hit the six month mark since the toys went up for sale.
Thank you, Ashley Wood and 3A Toys, for the letter and the toys, but please improve your communications with fans in 2011. Even something as simple as e-mailing those of us who have pre-ordered toys and telling us the latest news would go a long way toward making me feel better about the shipping situation. I appreciate the fact that you guys want to do the best job that you can, but part of that job needs to include customer service that goes beyond forum posts . . . I don’t have time to read the 3A forums every day.
