Gentle Giant’s Hammerhead Bust

You may have caught my post about the Hammerhead 12-inch scale action figure last weekend. (Or maybe the review.) Seriously, this is one fantastic action figure and it has me poking around the universe of Star Wars collectibles again. As I’ve proven time and again, all it takes is for one truly remarkable toy or statue to land in my hands to trigger a renewed love (or new interest) for a series. And Hammerhead may have reawakened my love of Star Wars.

Well, one of the things to pop to mind was this upcoming Hammerhead bust from Gentle Giant (first mentioned here). And now that I look at the photos at the Gentle Giant site I am starting to think this guy would look perfect next to his 12-inch scale action figure version. But I don’t need more statues, right? Probably not, but that doesn’t mean I’m not staring very closely at this particular statue.

From Star Wars: A New Hope; “Hammerhead” or Momaw Nadon as he was know by his peers. Nadon was a frequent patron of the Mos Eisley creature cantina who often aided Rebel operatives on the desert planet Tatooine. Expertly sculpted with blaster at the ready and cast in high quality poly stone. Hammerhead measures 7 1/2-inches to the top of his head. This limited edition mini-bust is hand numbered and comes packaged with a matching certificate of authenticity.
