Affiliate Link – Mega Man X D-Arts Action Figure
It’s not scheduled to be released until May, and it’s pretty tiny, but this upcoming Mega Man X D-Arts Action Figure* looks just about as sweet as the Mega Man model kit I pointed out last month. And the good news is this guy doesn’t require any assembly!
I thought for sure I’d already written about this action figure but a quick search of the site didn’t reveal any older posts; maybe I wrote about it in my dreams.
With over 15 years of history the Mega Man series continues to engage fans across various platforms. Now Mega Man will be part the new D-Arts advanced action figure series beginning with Mega Man X. Figure set includes a full array of X buster parts, including rotating effect parts. The 4 4/5-inch tall Mega Man action figure also includes 2 interchangeable face parts, as well as interchangeable hand and arm parts. Figure comprised of high quality plastic materials for enhanced detail, durability, and articulation.
15 years? Odd, by my count it’s 24 years…
I’d like to know more about it. For instance, I can’t tell from looking at it how poseable it is; how many joints, range of motion and so on. It looks great, and even though the price is steep for one smallish figure, I’d happily pay it for the right features.
The other Mega Man model kit actually baffles me a lot more. It looks like a figure to me, so I’m not clear on whether or not gluing or painting is required. Is there any chance you could do write-ups to explain things like that or point me to someone who has?
@garsh – These are kinda like the Gundam models. They’re action figures once you assemble them, but assembly does take time. I’ll see if I can find some good info online; you’re not tricking me into getting into model kits. (Well, maybe you are. I am kinda tempted to try one of the kits just to see for myself how cool they are when completed.)
Thx for trying to explain the terminlogy for the newbies!
@Pilip Reed – Thanks a lot for looking into it.
These kits are something I’ve never gotten into, so it’s all a big mystery to me. I doubt I’d get more than just that one Mega Man (and maybe a Proto man) but the prospect of some assembly doesn’t deter me at all, unless glue is involved. That terrifies me.
@garsh – Okay, you got me. I will order, assemble, and review one of the kits. Twist my arm why don’t you, man! 🙂
@Philip Reed – I apologize. Let’s hope you don’t enjoy it. You’ll never be able to forgive me for that.
