Marvel Toys at New York Toy Fair 2011
While the upcoming Thor movie and toy line don’t interest me at all, I have to say that Hasbro appears to be hitting it out of the park again this year with their Iron Man, Captain America, and Marvel Universe toys. While I was at the Hasbro event on Saturday I shot some photos and have now posted them at Flickr. These are in my Hasbro set, so scroll down for the Marvel shots.
The Classic Avengers set (shown above) has one hell of an awesome Hulk and Iron Man packed inside and I just know I’ll have to snag that set. Other notable pieces on display included the new 6-inch scale Hulkbuster Iron Man — a perfect companion to my Hulk Buster Marvel Legends figure (review here, Hulkbuster mini-bust (review here), and Iron Man 2 Hulkbuster figure (review here) — and Cable with Baby Hope. That one is just too screwy to skip.
Marvel fans are gonna get another great year of action figures, and if this is the stuff revealed at New York Toy Fair I can’t wait to see what they’re holding back to reveal at San Diego Comic Con.
Save your pennies, guys, because we’re about to be buried in plastic goodness.
That Avengers pack is much better than I expected it to be. I’ll certainly be on the look-out for that.
