Spotted Online – Assassin’s Creed Ezio Review at Infinite Hollywood
I know the Assassin’s Creed series* has been getting more of my attention lately, but between playing the game and seeing the Square Enix action figure at New York Toy Fair (mentioned here) is it really shocking that the game and toys are on my mind? Well, I haven’t actually held the Ezio action figure but Wesitron has and he’s posted a review at Infinite Hollywood.
According to the review this action figure has problems and isn’t worth the $50 price tag. That’s kinda making me sad, because looking at it up close at Toy Fair — but through glass; no touching! — had me wanting the toy. But now I’m questioning whether or not it’s worth the risk.
I can accept that I might have just had a lemon when it comes to loose joints, but the articulation problems really got to me on such an action-packed character. If you want him just for vanilla display, he is absolutely a fantastic piece. And really, 50 bucks is sometimes what you pay for a less-detailed 6 or 7 inch figure from Japan. He’s just not what I wanted from an Ezio toy and in my opinion doesn’t live up to Play Arts’ legacy. But, your mileage may vary, as they say 🙂
@wesitron – Thanks for posting that review. I need to get my Halo and Metal Gear Solid Play Arts reviews online soon; that Halo Jun is almost completely perfect but I do have a couple of minor complaints.
Sweet, I was wondering about the Kai Reach figures. I’d heard some issues of stability and joint breakage on those in particular, especially the wrists. Can’t wait!
