Really? Galaxy People Asterian Still Available?
The Galaxy People (webstore, Flickr) Asterian Parasitoid released at NYCC by Monster Worship (website, Twitter) is surprisingly still available. I’m at a loss for what to even say, because this resin toy is cool enough that I thought for sure it would have been gone by now.
Well, take a look at my review of the Asterian and then hike on over to Monster Worship. It’s a sad day when this resin toy sticks around for so long.
That’s sad that he hasn’t sold out yet (and the two versions on the galaxy people site), but also kinda awesome, as I really want one.
Just need to hold out until next month, when I have money.
I bought one from Monster Worship after one of the other toy blogs gave a $5 off promo code for it (though I probably would have still paid full for one–if I hadn’t grabbed this one, I’d have grabbed the GITD/clear one later), and they sent it in a nicely hand-decorated shipping box that I regret I didn’t think to photograph until too late (doh). The figure is awesome, and while I’m not a big indy figure collector, he fits in nicely with both the select few I do own and also is perfectly scaled to fit well in with 3 3/4″ figures as well such as the Micronauts/Microman, the new Outer-Space Men and such. Great work, I’m sure I’ll probably buy other Galaxy People figures in the future, now I’ve got this one… I’m really surprised they haven’t sold out given just how small his runs are and just how cool they turn out.
